Condor Ferries appoints new Chief Financial Officer

Condor Ferries - Jason Clark - Chief Financial Officer

Condor Ferries is pleased to announce the appointment of Jason Clark as Chief Financial Officer.

With over 15 years’ experience in finance and risk management roles in the UK and Europe, including high profile capital investment projects, Jason brings with him a wealth of expertise and knowledge.

Commenting on his new appointment, Jason said: “I am very pleased to have joined Condor Ferries at this exciting time for the business.  My job is to make sure that Condor continues to thrive on a solid financial footing and is in the best possible position to offer value for money for our customers and stakeholders, now and in the future.

“I have already spent time getting to know the intricacies of the business and am now looking forward to having a hands-on role in all financial matters.”  

Paul Luxon, CEO of Condor Ferries added: “We are delighted to welcome Jason to the Condor Ferries team, bringing with him a strong background of corporate finance experience gained in the commercial and international development sectors in the UK and Europe.

“Jason is a real asset to Condor Ferries, myself and the wider team are looking forward to working closely with him, as we continue to strive to provide excellent service for our customers and stakeholders.” 

Prior to joining Condor, Jason was Group Financial Controller and subsequently Director of Finance for blue-chip energy company RWE Npower Plc, covering its Power Stations and Retail divisions, based in the UK.  Most recently, he was Head of Programme Finance and Controlling for an international health development organisation, The Global Fund, based in Geneva, Switzerland. He was responsible for the control and governance of over £12 billion of  funds being distributed to projects in Africa and Asia, helping to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. 

Originally from South Yorkshire, Jason studied Industrial Economics at the University of Nottingham and trained as a Chartered Accountant in Sheffield, before beginning his energy career with Yorkshire Electricity.
