With a career spanning over 40 years in the marine industry, Dr Bill Moses has considerable experience running successful and high-profile passenger and freight shipping businesses at senior management and board level.
Heralded as a guru of the shipping industry, Bill is highly experienced in the global operation of ships and ports and has operated a wide variety of over 44 conventional passenger and freight vessels and 20 fast ferries.
As an experienced business manager with proven, successful operational and commercial experience at local, regional, national and international level he has had considerable experience in restructuring and developing ferry related businesses, indeed the list of companies that he has advised and carried out due diligence for reads like a Who’s Who of the shipping industry. Much of Bill’s work is carried out ‘hands-on’ in the capacity of an Interim or Turnaround manager.
Bill is Chairman of the Dover Counselling Centre, a registered charity set up to handle the human consequences of the Herald of Free Enterprise ferry disaster and was honoured with a Member of the British Empire (M.B.E.) awarded by Her Majesty the Queen for Services to the Shipping Business and Charitable work.
Bill has a Master of Arts degree in International Maritime Policy and graduated in 2011 as a Doctor of Philosophy based on his extensive research entitled The Commercial and Technical Evolution of the Ferry Industry 1948-1987.
