Stena Line continues to increase passengers on North Sea Route and offers 100% reliability

2014 saw continued growth of Stena Line’s passenger numbers and car volumes, building on the figures recorded in previous years. The ferry operator transported 132,000 cars on its Harwich-Hook of Holland service through the course of the full year; an increase of 7.3% year on 2013.

In addition the operator recorded 100% reliability in 2014 with all sailings operating to schedule throughout the year.

Stena Line carried an additional 33,000 passengers in 2014 on the North Sea with a total of 601,000 passengers being transported compared to 568,000 the previous year. This out performs the general upward trend in the British outbound ferry travel market which witnessed a 3.7% increase in passengers travelling to the Continent from mainland Britain. Stena Line concluded its year of North Sea operations with a very positive 8% increase in passengers in December 2014 compared to the same time in 2013.

Our two super ferries continue to impress old and new customers alike who are continuing to discover our fantastic on-board offering.”

Stena Line offers twice-daily, seven hour return crossings between Harwich and the Hook of Holland. Fares start from £59 one way for an adult and car. Additional adults cost start from £14.50 and children (between four and 15 years old) from £7.25 one way. Foot passenger prices start from £36.50 per adult and £18.25 for children. Infants (under four years old) travel free of charge. Cabins start from £15 per person each way.
