November 3, 2015 by the News Team

Regent Seven Seas explorer350Seven Seas Explorer, the first super luxury cruise ship that Fincantieri is building for Regent Seven Seas Cruises was launched on 30 October at the shipyard in Sestri Ponente. Interior fittings will now begin, leading the ship to its delivery, scheduled in summer 2016.
The ceremony was attended for the shipowner by Robin Lindsay, executive vice president of vessel operations, while Fincantieri was represented, among others, by Raffaele Davassi, director of the Sestri Ponente’s shipyard. Godmother of the ceremony was Antonia Ronchi, an employee of Fincantieri.
Seven Seas Explorer will be the flagship of the fleet with its 56,000 gross tonnes, 223 meters in length and being able to accommodate 750 passengers in 377 spacious suites. The new ship will be built using the most advanced environmental protection technologies. The interiors will be particularly sophisticated, with every attention paid to passenger comfort.
Seven Seas Explorer is spaciously intimate, breathlessly elegant and perfectly staffed to offer Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ special brand of all-inclusive luxury. The summer of 2016 will herald not only the launch of the most luxurious ship to sail the seven seas, but also the moment when you can experience the new standard in elegance and sophistication. Journey to the world’s most beautiful places in spacious designer suites, indulge in a decadent treatment at the world renowned Canyon Ranch SpaClub®, enjoy a musical performance in a plush lounge, and delight in extensive gourmet dining throughout the day and night.
